Happy New Year!
WHEW‼️ 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣ was a helluva ride🎢.
I’m proactively planning on making 2019 a happier, moer relaxed and successful year. As I do some reflecting I’ve thought about the top 3 things I need to work on most:
⌚️ Time Management
♋️ Taking Care of Myself
👨👧👧 Spending more time with my family.
I used to be really good at making goals S.M.A.R.T. 👨🏫 (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time-Bound), but this year I did a really poor job of that (among other things) and it really shows. By setting S.M.A.R.T. goals and managing my ⏱ better I’ll be more productive 📈 in less time, allowing me a little more freedom for relaxation and self-care💝.
Over the last 18 months after I’ve finally stopped using marijuana in various forms to treat my ailments I’ve been forced to really look at what I need to do take care of those issues in a different way. This includes eating properly 🍽(especially minding the things my body is intolerant to🍞☕️🥛), getting back to exercising regularly 🚴♂️ and getting the proper sleep 😴 I need.
It’s no secret that I love💓 my daughters👧👧 more than anything in this universe, but honestly I spend too much time working and not enough time enjoying life with them, and by rote I tell them I need to be out making money💰💵 so I can give them everything they want👑 whenever they ask me why I’m never home. It’s dawned on me lately how big they’re getting and especially how QUICKLY⌛️ it’s happening. I’m figuring out that what really matters is being PRESENT for them more so than being able to spend money on them, so from now on I’m making sure that I block time for them every single day📆.
So many things have happened and changed this year. I’ve made some new friends and I’ve lost some old friends. I’ve really seen who’s really there for me and who isn’t. I’ve rearranged my priorities and really thought about my long term goals.
And to keep myself accountable, I’m gonna get back to blogging- hopefully daily, so keep checking in 🙂
